Online Shopping

If you haven’t heard of this, then you really don’t use the internet that much. Online shopping has been so rampant nowadays that you can even see online shops around Facebook, which is convenient and at the same time, quite irritating for me since I’m friends with some shops who keep tagging me in their pictures. O_o I mean, I do visit their sites since I love checking new things out, but they don’t have to keep on tagging me. I’d contact them if I want a particular item of course. I don’t know why they do that. O_o

Anyway, I’m kind of frustrated because I have found little shops who sell gadgets and stuff. I don’t like my items to be shipped to since I have a bad experience on that, but I’m open in trying again sometime. One thing I’ve experienced about online shopping too is that most shops that I’ve tried ordering from don’t ship to international countries which makes me sad since some of the products I like aren’t available online.

In my search for shops and whatnot, I discovered that you could actually buy online wine and stuff, which really surprised me. It’s UK-based and I doubt they ship to other countries.

I’ve bookmarked some shops that interest me and I’ll try this shipping thing one of these days. :)

Domains Craze

The first time I had Twitter, I only check it to see who @replied me. LOL. Actually, the main reason why I even registered is because it was one of the requirements of the contest that I’m joining to follow the contest holder and to tweet about the contest. XD The main prize was a domain, it was only a .info, but as I don’t have one, it was quite a treasure to me. Then later I found out about domain registrars and that’s when I got to following Namecheap. Personally, it’s my favorite domain registrar. They also offer hosting, but I prefer other web hosting sites. :)

I’m fond of searching for hosting sites, either for my own personal use or for helping a friend or two. I actually discovered local hosting sites here which I find handy. Anyway, I stumbled across Superb.net, which offers web hosting at a reasonable price. I have been with many hosting companies and comparing packages is soft of one of the things I do when I’m bored so I can tell that their packages are quite on the line.

They have dedicated servers as well, which gives you more flexibility and support. If you don’t know what a dedicated server is, it’s basically just like you’re leasing an entire server which isn’t shared with anyone. How cool is that? :) They offer managed hosting and colocation plans as well.

Anyway, I’m delighted with my own host here and I couldn’t ask for more. :D This is just my hobby so I guess investing a lot of money for my hobby isn’t really my thing. In my opinion, it’s a bit too much for a hobby of mine. If I happen to pursue my dream career, then that’s the time I’d think of buying reliable hosting.

On Purchasing Goods

I’m really inclined in buying gadgets and stuffs online but I’m not too confident about the quality of their products and the warranty. I don’t want my father’s hard earned money to just go to waste. Money just don’t fall from above you know, you just don’t pick it up from the ground.

I’m pretty sure there are reliable stores out there, but if you are to buy online, don’t be in a rush. Study the feedbacks and reputation first because scammers are rampant nowadays. If I’m to purchase something that will cost me a thousand or more pesos, I’ll search first about their status and whatnot. The keyword here is: assurance.

Assurance is always, for me, associated with insurance. Haha. We all want what’s best for the future, be prepared for the unknown because it’s really scary. This Car Insurance Los Angeles website can help you, especially if you’re looking for some insurance company. I don’t know much about insurance, though my parents joined this kind of program but I never understood how it works, or I’m just not interested enough to dig what it’s all about.

All I know is I’ll be receiving money for my graduation from a certain insurance company that they joined, so YAY for me!
